The types of persons who would attend an Abrasive Wheels course would be persons who are required to supervise the use of tools which use abrasive wheels, persons who use abrasive wheel tools and also persons who are required to carry out inspections of abrasive wheel tools.
On completion of this course persons will have the knowledge which will enable them to select, mount and inspect an abrasive wheel and the tool to which the wheel would be fitted. They will be able to identify the correct type of abrasive wheel for the task in hand and how to store the wheel. Gain a sufficient level of understanding and knowledge of current legislation covering abrasive wheels and their responsibilities
The course is delivered using a power point presentation, practical exercise, completed with a test paper which is aimed at assessing the level of understanding gained. The course will be delivered covering the following topics:
